Nice relaxed atmosphere, comfortable rooms, possibility to eat in a nice restaurant or if only a snack required, a comfortable bar serving all kinds of food.
Breakfast a little expensive at 15 euros
This hotel has recently been refurbished. The rooms are now supurb. Th restaurant is good and there is an attractive bar/cafe, which is open all day. The food in the restaurant is good and breakfast is a banquet in itself.
The car park is barely adequate.
As alwyas the room was sumptuous, clean, quiet and comfortable.
View from our room at the back was of glass recycling bin and we were overlooked by neighbouring houses. We were disappointed by the hote'ls modern appearance given that it was described as 16th or 17th century. There is no alternative but to drive to Vitoria for food if you dont want to pay the Parador's high food prices - Argomaniz is a bit of a "one horse town". Given the low occupancy of the hotel we were surprised that our room was not better evn though we had paid Booked.net's lowest price!
High level of facilities, location and comfort.
Staff attitude in the restaurant was efficient but impersonal. Overpriced for quality and service. As a result the scoring under Hotel staff was reduced, although the attitude of all other staff was good.
It was a very quit hotel even if 1 day was a wedding party.
I was missing a pool area. We were not booking the hotel because of pool or not. But, when we were sitting in the bar and it was over 30 degrees it was very attempting.
As all paradors the decor, building and staff were first class.
As all Paradors they are let down buy poor food, this one in particular the food was very poor.
Qua price (we paid 80 euros) V. good value for money. V. comfortable room with everything you need for good overnight stay,
Food in restaurant is expensive, and nothing special as also in the bar. We have stayed a couple of times. First time super room with a view, second time room with a view over rubbish bins and concrete wall. Complained when we left, but were told it was a cheaper room and when argued that we were also Parador card holders, were told - so is everyone. Not very good marketing tools.
Guaranteed quiet comfortable night stop with excellent breakfast
The room given had two problems with it which meant it should not have been allocated to a customer. One basin was cracked and the shower controls had been damaged
Our room was spacious, comfortable, very nice. Bathroom & accessories great. First time at a Parador, won't be our last.
clean, spacious room. Nice bar and terrace. Modern feel to facilities
The waitresses in the restaurant were slow, dour, and clearly did not enjoy their work. We felt we were a nuisance to them, and they were a great contrast to many other staff in restaurants and cafes elsewhere. The food was good, but we chose not to eat their again. We ate in the bar, where the waiters were more pleasant, but service was slow +++.
The hotel was very beautiful & clean and all the staff were very helpful
The staff is much better than many of the other Paradors
Wifi is a must these days. No Wifi in the room is no longer OK
Fabulous stay! Even though we had got the rooms at a discounted price we were given a friendly welcome & upgrade by Desiree Perez (receptionist) and it just got better from there. Facilities/Bar/Gardens all excellent but best was the restaurant with the regional tasting menu and accompanying local wine. We would always be happy to stay there on trips through Spain in the future.
Able to easily visit Bilbao, san Sebastián, Vitoria, Pamplona, from one locación
That is was a former castle.
